About a year ago some developers forked XMR to XMV with the intentions of creating a coin with Mimblewimble but failed due to the type of coding XMR runs.Mimblewimble is a protocol that was put forward by an anonymous user in a Bitcoin developers chatroom by the name of Tom Elvis Jedusor (the French name of fictional Harry Potter character, Voldemort). Mimblewimble itself is the name of a spell used to tongue-tie victims in Harry Potter. Jedusor left a link to a whitepaper in which he outlines that by using the Mimblewimble protocol, the scalability, as well as the privacy of the bitcoin network, could significantly be enhanced.
Recently new developers have taken over the coin and after a swop token phase have started to be more proactive in enhancing the coins code and value. We believe that bigger blocks could be on the cards and XMV sticking with ring signatures as the privacy protocol.A new light wallet has been released something the past developers had problems with.
At this moment Kryptonews has not a lot of information about the new roadmap but hope to have a one to one with the developers to find out their plans.
Please watch this space we have high hopes from the new Dev team
